Sand filters provide efficient above-ground pool filtration with minimal maintenance compared to cartridge systems. The sand-based filtration removes debris, dirt and leaves, reducing the need for frequent cartridge replacement. Designed for small to medium-sized pools (1,100 to 16,000 litres), this filter system flows approximately 2,271 litres per hour and features a corrosion-resistant tank built to withstand chlorinated pool water.
Operation is straightforward: when the pressure gauge reaches the red zone, switch the control valve to ‘backwash’ mode. After backwashing, connect a waste hose and use the ‘rinse’ setting to drain waste water appropriately. Note that the filter removes debris but does not eliminate bacteria in the pool—chemical treatment is recommended for complete pool maintenance.
