Three summers ago I bought a nine-seater outdoor lounge because it was on sale. Big mistake. It ate the whole back patio, blocked the sliding door from opening fully, and my father-in-law clipped his shin on the corner table every single time he visited. I sold it at a loss six months later and started again, properly this time, with a tape measure and a much clearer head.
That’s the thing nobody tells you about outdoor sofa sets — the size on the product page never quite matches what it feels like in your actual space.
