Sand filters deliver effective above-ground pool filtration with minimal maintenance. The filter uses sand to remove debris, dirt and leaves from pool water, eliminating the need for frequent cartridge replacement. Ideal for larger pools (1,100 to 42,300 litres), this sand filter system can process approximately 5,678 litres per hour. The corrosion-resistant filter tank withstands chlorinated pool water. When pressure reaches the red zone on the gauge, activate the backwash setting via the control valve to clean the filter media, then use the rinse setting to drain waste water. Note: Sand filter removes bacteria within the filter only; pool chemicals are still recommended for water treatment.
